And what about your intake pipe which carries nice cool air from your intercooler (or outside the car) that you want to keep well below your engine temperature? This prevents brake pad drag or rotor interference with the caliper. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e315mm Rotor Notes:\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e  The 315mm Cobalt SS rotors have been a common option for many older or base model Saab’s for use with the Brembo calipers from the Cobalt SS. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e  These rotors do require modifying the center bore from 65mm to 70.1mm. This is something most machine shops can handle, and, some vendors offer these pre-modified. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e  These Cobalt rotors are preferred over the Saab ng9-3 v6 314mm rotors because the Saab rotors are too wide for the caliper. Using the Saab rotors would require having them narrowed from 28mm wide down to 26mm wide and discarded at 24mm wide.  \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e  Additionally, the steering knuckle and Cobalt Brembo caliper both need clearanced  because the mounting ‘ears’ interfere. A cut template is included to make this easier for you.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e314mm Rotor Notes:\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e  The 314mm rotors used in the ng9-3 are a great upgrade and my preferred option. However, these rotors are roughly 2mm wider than the calipers are intended to fit. The upside to these rotors is that the centers do not need to be bored to fit. If you use these rotors as they came, you can expect rubbing, and centering the rotor exactly is more important. The Simple solution is to have the rotors turned down 1-2mm (.040\"-.080\") in width. Case in point is the 4G64 motor using a similar configuration. The standard .030\" 3-layer gasket normally used in the T7 motors is not deal for high boost applications.\u003cbr\u003e  This suggestion in gasket thickness also also helps to account for any material that may have been surfaced from the block or cylinder head. Also, the common use for T5 cams in majority of builds means the thinner T7 gasket is responsible for slightly retarded cam timing, the thicker gasket helps to correct that. Not to mention the minor decrease in static compression when used in a T7 build will help to decrease the potential for knock on pump gas.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"attributes\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"attributes\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e  In 2015\/16, we were the originators of the Cometic MLS head gasket for the Saab “H” motors (B202, B204, B234, B205, B235).\u003cbr\u003e  Since then it’s gone from exclusive parts for us, to being something that is widely available around the world.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e  Now we’re back at it with an exclusive design unavailable anywhere else. This new design makes it possible to use a single part number across all Saab cast iron four cylinder motors with any combination of block and cylinder head between T5, T7, or hybrid.
